Patch Notes - Economy Rebalance - v0.3

Economy Rebalance: Patch Notes v0.3

Commanders, this update changes how your mines grow. It was necessary: with the old values, each new mine level paid for itself faster than the last one. Over time the economy could grow without limit, and the rankings drifted out of balance. We want progress to feel earned and the rankings to stay fair for everyone.

Balancing

  • Mine costs rebalanced. Metal Mine, Silicate Mine and Helium-3 Extractor now get more expensive per level, and their production grows a bit slower. Higher mine levels are still worth it, they just take longer to pay off.
  • Universe 1 economy speed doubled. To make up for the change, resource production in Universe 1 now runs at 2× speed. Smaller empires will produce about as much as before or more; larger empires will notice lower production at high mine levels.
  • Maximum level. Buildings and research now go up to level 60.

Bug fixes

  • Storage capacity and resources can no longer overflow or drop below zero.
  • Upgrading and demolishing the same building at the same time is no longer possible, and planet fields are now counted correctly.
  • Profile statistics are now recorded in the right categories.
  • Solar Satellites can no longer be sent in fleets.
